Hi! I'm Emily, an adult romance author from Houston, Texas. I've always loved writing. In middle school, I wrote a short chapter book about guinea pigs saving the world, and in high school, I used to stay up late at night writing poetry in iambic pentameter. Romance has always been my favorite genre. There's nothing better than a book that makes you feel the emotion in the back of your throat. Now, I bring those stories to life, writing swoon-worthy romances filled with emotion, tension, and unforgettable characters. When I'm not writing you can find me reading voraciously, spending time with my husband, walking our dog, beating a Halo campaign, or diamond painting.
My Story
My mom tells me I had a pen in my hand at a very young age. That grew with me and turned into a love of reading as I got older.
Some of my best childhood memories surround books like the Twilight series. I remember my dad driving me to the midnight release of Breaking Dawn and immediately reading the entire thing in one sitting.
When I went to college I wanted to be a forensic chemist, but that doesn't work when you can't pass Gen Chem I. So I changed my major to my best subject and I never looked back. After earning my Bachelor of English, I quickly followed up with my Master of Library and Information Science. Instead of finding myself in a library, I stumbled into technical writing where I stayed until it was time to open my wings and fly as an author.
